How to group the nodes, when I import an image in the workspace all the objects are ungrouped. How to group them?
I split your post to its own topic. It is easier if users are looking for solutions.
When you import an image, one or more contours will be created. Each contour has at least three nodes.
Contours cannot be grouped permanently as the TrueType format does not support grouping.
In the Glyph Edit Window there are several ways to select a group of contours (or nodes) temporarily.
- Click on one to select it, then hold the Shift key to add others to the selection.
- Drag the selection tool or the freehand selection tool (lasso) around the contours (or nodes) that you wish to select.
- Use the shortcuts “w” and “q” to select the next or previous contour (or node). Hold down the shift key too (Shift+W or Shift+Q) to select consecutive contours or nodes.
- Use the “p” shortcut to switch between point mode and contour mode.
- Contours have a stacking order. Use the Send to Back, Bring to Front, Send Back, Bring Forwards buttons on the Align and Distribute toolbar to change their z-order (stacking order).
- Before anything is selected, the “w” shortcut will select the top contour in the stack; while it will select the first node of the first contour in points mode.
