in FontCreator 12.0.0.2543 [July 10, 2019],the new function
Within the glyph edit window, hold down the Alt key and click one of the “comparison glyphs” to make it the current glyph

How to use this feature？

  1. Show the comparison toolbar (F11)
  2. Type the characters you want to use before and after the current glyph
  3. Alt+Click on the comparison glyph to go to it. The Before/After glyphs will change to suit.
