Illustrator character palette

I’ve named a font with a ‘1’ at the beginning of the name so that it will show up at the top of the Illustrator character palette. I’ve done this with a few fonts and they work fine. But for some reason one of the fonts comes up at the bottom of the character palette drop-down list. Any ideas?

I don’t have Illustrator installed on my system so I can only guess. Is the font a symbol font? If not can you send the font file to me so I can look into this problem?

Thanks for sending the font. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to detect any suspicious settings that might indicate a problem. Sometimes a reboot helps; if not maybe someone else has experienced similar font naming issues…
