Inserting character problem

I followed the instructions you posted on Jan. 17, 2006 to insert characters into existing fonts. I ran into a problem when I did the complete composite step. I am trying to add greek letters (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta…) into some existing fonts. The process worked on the letters that resemble regular english letters (A,B,E,Z,H…) but not on the ones that are more like symbols (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Lambda…). I can’t seem to find any instructions or posts to help me. Will you?

I apologize for putting the first ? in the wrong forum.
Question is- if the complete composite won’t work, how do I get those greek letters that don’t come up? does it have something to do with the fact that those particular letters look like symbols?
I am pretty good at following directions if you could just tell me where to look.
thanks

Thanks for moving your post.

Since those Greek letters don’t exist in your font, you have to draw them. Either draw them on paper and scan them in, or draw them with the drawing tools on the Glyph Toolbar. You can copy the Greek letters from my font if you like, but they may not match your font perfectly.

I have drawn some of the letters I need. I have save the file under a new name in a new folder. Now, how do I access those letters? When I did the test font, they don’t show up. When I open the font, they don’t show up. When I type, they don’t show up. AAGGHHH! Please Help!

Are you using a Greek keyboard in Windows? Change the setting in Control Panel, Keyboard, and put an icon in your system tray to swtich keyboards US/Greek or whatever.

The Greek Glyphs won’t show up in the Test Font Window if they don’t exist in the Text File used as a sample. Select the glyphs, press “P” to add them to the preview toolbar, and show the Preview Toolbar from the View menu.
