Installing New Font

(I searched the forum and didn’t find exact answer, so I’ll ask it another way.)

Trying to install new font using FC. Font/Install/Font Installation Wizard/(don’t install in Windows Fonts so notes show it will be resident in path that FC knows).

Next gives error message of “Could not complete font installation. The specific module could not be found” which if it’s my font it can’t find that is peculiar since FC was opened to the font (of course) in order to install it … if it’s my Windows Font Directory that’s peculiar also because it’s there of course…

“Test Current Font” worked and I could use the font in MS Word.

I rebooted and same result. What’s next doctor?

I suspect the module is FontInstaller.dll. After installing FontCreator, it should be located in the same folder as FontCreator.exe. I introduced it to make FontCreator compatible with Windows Vista.

FontInstaller.dll is in the Vn 5.6 directory. (It’s in S:\Fonts\Font Creator\FontCreator5.6\FontCreator - is that too far down?)

Tried Vn 5.5 successfully however.

They have to be in the same folder.
