Set a guideline at y = 0 to snap to the baseline.

Or, show the grid, and snap to the grid.

I suspect the contour has been scaled and then it is most likely nodes are no longer positioned at integer values. Go to point mode, select all points (CTRL-A), and then right-click one of the nodes to select “Round XY Coordinates”.

No, but if more people think this is useful, we might consider adding such feature to the Transform wizard.

This is required in any project with a range of weights.
