I need help finding out how to do simple objects like a dotted diamond,
or a dotted four-leaf clover, I cant seem to find a easy way. its not like
other program were a toolbar is giving with pretty much everything in it
so that these objects can be made, maybe im over looking or are there any trick to drawing in FCP.

The easiest way woud be to copy the symbols from another font, then modify them to suit what you want. You will find a few shapes on the samples toolbar, which you can drag into any glyph edit window for editing.
View Menu, Toolbars, Samples.
You can also copy contours from glyphs in the current font or another font, e.g. to get a circle, you might copy the full-stop contour, to get a hollow ring, you might copy the degree symbol º etc. After pasting into your new glyph they can be resized, but be aware that the º consists of two contours, the outer black one, and the inner white one.
