I have a need to swap the bold typeface for the regular typeface. I program we use is hardcoded to use the regular setting so we thought we would fool it by swapping them in the font itself.
Is this possible with this program?

Yes. Very easy. Format, metrics, and set “regular” for the font design. Clear all the flags for the Mac. Then run autonaming to rename it to regular. I think that is all you need to do.
