Hi,
On testing my font, I get the Font invalid, make sure that all the Microsoft Naming Fields are available message.
I have basically taken an Arial Windows font, deleted the glyphs after the first 127 and there copied glyphs from another font file.
Now I have read the manual and checked the list of fields that have to exist and they do.
I have run the Naming Wizard (a couple of times).
It still doesn’t accept it.
The stranger thing is that this font file is the second, ‘real’ version after I played around with a test version. The test version installs correctly, and, looking at what is in the test version to compare it with the real version, I can’t find any differences. The difference between the test version and the real version is the mappings and the postscript names for the glyphs.
Do you have any advice of where I should look?
How important are the postscript names for each glyph?
The mappings are huge, but FCP corrects for muliple glyphs with the same mapping. What I would look for is whether you have mapped you glyphs in all the platforms. If you failed to map in Microsoft Unicode, you might well get that error message.
