New Glyph Created but Changes When 'Return' Key is Pressed

Hi there,

I have downloaded & installed a trial version of Font Creator 5.0 - I think it’s great, but I have the following problem:

I have created a new glyph in an exisiting TTF, saved it & installed the font. Then, in Word, I change the font to my edited TTF, type the character which is mapped to the glyph, the character (which is a logo - an imported image) appears but as soon as I press the ‘Return’ key the logo changes to the mapped letter (even though Word says the font I’m using is my TTF).

If I type the mapped key twice in succession, the 2nd character (logo) is fine but the problem (outlined above) always occurs for the 1st character.

What have I missed out/not done correctly please?

Try turning off Autocorrect, or try using the font in Wordpad or another program. Which character have you mapped this glyph to? It is hard to guess what is happening from the information you have given.

If this isn’t the cause of the problem you can send me the font to look at.

I have to say a massive ‘THANK YOU’ Bhikkhu, as your 2 suggestions (AutoCorrect and WordPad) helped me massively to work out the problem I was having.
