I would find a variable for {GROUP} useful.
Other potentially useful variables would be:
{FONT_FILE_DATE}
{FONT_CREATION_DATE}
{FONT_GLYPHS} Number of glyphs in font
{FONT_FOUNDRY}
While updating my online font catalogue I ran into this problem again. After exporting the font catalogue to disk, I need to use Batch Text Replace wizard to find and replace
C:\Documents and Settings\Bhikkhu Pesala\My Documents\My Fonts\Serif Applications{Group Folder Name}
With {Group Folder Name}
There should be a way to do this within MainType by using a relative path or group name.
These are already available:
{FONT_NUM_GLYPHS}
{FONT_NUM_CHARS}
{FONT_FOUNDRY}
The others are not on the to-do list, but we will rethink this with the next major version.
Apart from File Creation Date, and Font File Date, the other variables have been implemented:
{FONT_GLYPHS} = The number of glyphs
{FONT_CHARS} = The number of characters
{FONT_FOUNDRY} = The font foundry
