  1. Is due to lack of hinting information, which FontCreator doesn’t support. See the FAQ thread at the top of this forum.

  2. Have you mapped the character to a code-point. Just inserting a glyph doesn’t do that. Try Insert Character instead, and pick a suitable one from the many character sets available.
