No Class When Installing Segoe Fonts

Got this error message trying to Install any of the 4 Segoe UI fonts (regular, bold, italic, bold italic).

I cannot guarantee they are the MS-issued ones although each says Vn 5.00 from Sept 29, 2006. They were not installed when I started. Segoe could be Vista fonts (Windows XP Pro SP3).
Can you help?

Rather technical, but it seems the FontInstaller.dll that is included with FontCreator and Scanahand is no longer registered. Have you uninstalled Scanahand?

UNINSTALL ANY HIGH-LOGIC, OF COURSE NOT!!

I think my versions of Segoe UI fonts are suspect, however I can’t install anything right now… I have 129 entries in Windows/Fonts and it’s raining.

I have FontInstaller.dll (161kb 7/19/2007) in both Scanahand and Font Creator directories. It’s not in Maintype.

I reinstalled Scanahand and problem solved == can install fonts again! (My Segoe UI are still suspect.)

Thanks Erwin

I’m glad the problem is solved.

Fonts can’t unregister a dll. It can only be done by an uninstall of FontCreator or Scanahand, other software (malware?), or maybe by a Windows update.

I don’t install malware! I just did SP3 last week so perhaps. Thanks again.
