I have 5.6. For some reason the “Contents and Index” and pdf “User Manual” don’t work. Does anyone know where I can find the user manual to download? Whenever I go to the High-Logic website all I can find is the manual for the new version.

The contents are not hyperlinked — use the PDF Bookmarks to navigate the Manual.
You should find the manual in the program directory somewhere around Program Files/High Logic/Font Creator. I found mine there (also 5.6).

The file is in the directory, but it must be corrupted.
Why do you say that? The table of contents and index in the manual do not have hyperlinks so they are not supposed to do anything. The PDF manual for FC 6.2 is the same.
Use the PDF bookmarks in the Adobe Reader bookmarks panel on the left. If the file was corrupted, you would not be able to open it at all.
I can’t open it at all.
