Opening an OpenType font removes some (composite?) glyphs

Hello!

I’m trying out FC for one specific purpose: To convert OpenType fonts into TTF. This seems to work otherwise, but when I open the OpenType fonts, they’re missing some glyphs. So, this in effect renders the fonts unuseable (as I need them in the Finnish languge). The mentioned OpenType originals work just fine in every program (except in Java which is why I’m doing the conversion). But somehow FC can’t open them properly. Any idea what to do?

The glyphs in question are ä,ö,å etc. (A with dieresis, o with dieresis and so on.)

Can you send a copy of your font directly to me? I’ll see if I can identify your problem. The font is only used for the purpose of reproducing and understanding the reported problem.
