problem uploading edited font to LJ4100

A font that is downloadable to an LJ4100 ramdisk is not downloadable after modifying it with font creator. unmodified it works fine.

the original font is 10k, even though I have not removed characters, just changed the naming, the size shrinks to 7k.

Any help would be appreciated.

I know less than nothing on this subject.
Is it a true type font?
Does it work in (windows) before and after it’s changed?

the font is a normal windows font that works fine.

I modify it using font creator to change the name and that works fine on Windows but the size has been reduced.

When I try downloading it to a LJ4100, it will; not download to the printer

I also know nothing about this, but I wonder if it could be something to do with the PCL5 data, or other tables being removed when you open and save the fonts.

Compare these dialogues for the original 10K font, and the modified 7K font.
