Searching collection by serif/sans serif

Hi

I currently own v.3 and am trialling v.4 - which is much nicer. However, what I was hoping for – and for which I would definitely upgrade – isn’t there that I can see, but maybe there is a way I am missing. Often I want to find only sans serif or only serif fonts - way back I used to use The Font Thing, which included that option, so I know it CAN be done, although flicking through a couple of fonts in Font Creator, I don’t see an identifier of this type in the font naming. Sorry for my ignorance!

Can anyone tell me how to filter with that choice in either MT3 or MT 4?

Right now this is not possible, but we intend to add tagging to MainType. Then you can search for “serif”, “cartoon”, “handwriting”, “brush”, “modern”, etc. We are not sure when we add it, but the more people request it, the higher we put in on our to-do list :wink:
