( syntax error: ".notdef" is not valid glyph ) any solution?

Hey Everybody;
Can anybody please help me ?

When I try to edit and save a font I get this message (syntax error: “.notdef” is not valid glyph… )
What is “.notdef” ? What I can do for solving this ? I attached the picture of the error !

From the screen shot, you’re apparently using FontCreator 7.5 and not Scanahand, so I have moved your thread to the FontCreator support forum.

Please confirm which software you’re using, and whether it is registered or not.

A syntax error is not a bug — you need to correct the OpenType script.

The .notdef glyph is a required glyph in all fonts, which is displayed whenever the user types a character not defined in the font. It is not usually included in OpenType scripts.

Open the OpenType Compiler, copy all, and paste the script here using the Code tags (above the message reply box).
