ok, heres the situation
at the moment im creating a media project whcih involves the use of a mac and the program iMovie. At the start of the movie im in the process of creating the credits, so far so good. What im using is a Times New Roman font and i’ve increased the width of the font by about 180% and i’ve made the font slightly bolder (Using photoshop)
I’ve then created the jpeg and imported it into iMovie using white text on a black background. Thats fine for the start of the movie when the credits are only flashing over a dark background because I can do this all in photoshop.
The problem comes when I try to overlay text over a moving background. Using the built in effects of iMovie it will only allow me to choose an already premade font, I can’t import the modified times new roman font. I can’t use another font because it isnt the kind of font that I want and really wouldn’t suit the film, and I can’t import the modfied font I want into the effects section because it wont let me.
The solution I came up with is trying to transfer the font myself and trying to make it using this program that I found today. Sadly i’ve had no prior usage of this program and have got no clue what I am doing. Another problem is that i’ve only got a deadline of a few days till I can hand this project in, dilemma (I didnt expect to run into this problem before, bad planning on my part)
What I would love is if someone could kindly tell me how I could create this font quickly and easily and then transfer it over to the mac so I can finish my masterpiece
I havnt had a look at the tutorial section yet, but after ive spellchecked my work ill have a look and see if it any help.
If anyone could help me with my massive problem it would be much appreciated seeing as I havnt got much time left to sort it out. I don’t want to have to resort to using other methods that would mean my movie would look bad
Thanks a lot
