Using text from an image to create font?

I saw text in an image that I really like, so I wanted to create a font out of it. I tried saving the logo, cutting one of the letters with fireworks, and then pasting it onto Font Creator, but the letter seems to lose its shape after I paste. The overall shape is there, but it’s not as sharp.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

It is unlikely that a logo will provide a sufficient number of pixels to provide an accurate trace. About a height of about 500 pixels is recommended.

If you open your original image in Microsoft Paint and enlarge it by 400% both horizontally and vertically and then save that as a new image and then import that new image into FontCreator you might get a better result.

It may not be of any benefit in this particular case, but it might be worth trying.

I hope that this helps.
