hi,

ok, i’m a newb. i’ve created one typeface with FontCreator (5.5 pro) and it’s very well done - congratulations on such a great program!

now: how do i create a vertical font, i.e.:

I
S

V
E
R
T
I
C
A
L

? if someone could point me in the right direction, i’d really appreciate it.
i’ve looked at all of the FC5.5 menus and help panels, and none had any info.

If you’re talking about CJK fonts, see this page for the right metrics to use.

Vertical text is controlled by the Windows application that you’re using, not in the font itself, which only determines the width and height of individual glyphs.

Open Office has an option for Complex Text Layout that must be enabled to use CJK or right to left fonts.
