Checking the length of Postscript names

I am making a symbol font and have been adding some Postscript names. Most of the names are fairly short, but I named one glyph as ultramarine_made_from_lapis_lazuli and then wondered if having 34 characters in the name was too many.
The font validated with no problems reported.
After searching in the forum for postscript length I found the following post.

So, I changed the Postscript name to become ultramarine_from_lapis_lazuli instead.
I am writing to ask if consideration could be given as to whether the Font Validation Wizard could notify a problem if a Postscript name longer than 31 characters is being used please.
