Installed fonts gets deleted from the system

When I install the font after restarting computer the Photoshop CS2 showing missing fonts. I thought this feature only upplies to "LOAD FONT"

Any Idea Why?

Strange. After the restart of your computer, is the font marked as installed when you look at it through MainType?

After installing few fonts, I deleted them from the desktop, assuming that the program placed them in the system Fonts folder. But when I checked the font folder there are only the short cuts to the fonts on the desktop.
By deleting them there is no more reference to these fonts.

Please let me know if I am wrong.

Thanks, that additional information did help.

By default MainType won't copy your fonts to Windows fonts folder, but you can change that. Select Options from the Tools menu and then click the Fonts tab. Now enable the Install Fonts settings. Let us know your results.
