Can you install software .exe file on EHD?

I would like to install the MainType software on an external hard drive so that I can use it on both my desktop and laptop. Is that possible?

Technically it might be possible, but a lot of things would have to be taken into consideration. The most important one is that the external harddisk must be connected BEFORE you start your computer/laptop, otherwise the fontservice cannot find the database and fontvault and will end up in an errorstate.
