I Want to try the auto activation plugins before I buy maintype (because I already have font agent pro and I'm trialling another font manager, but I would buy maintype if the plugins work OK - unlike the extensis ones for instance)
is there a way to get them?

You can install, uninstall and view the supported plugins through the MainType plugin manager. Select Plugins from the Tools menu.

Does the plug in only work with CS5 and higher? I have CS4 and it 's grayed out.

Yes, the plug-ins are available for Adobe InDesign CS5, CS5.5, and CS6.

I just bought MT, for its auto activation - to find that the plugins cant be installed for indesign CC. Any idea when this might be available?

I'm sorry but this is not something that will be available for the short term.

If due to this MainType doesn't meet your requirements, then please let us know and we'll refund your order. Of course we hope you love MainType's other features so much, that you won't even think about abandoning.

any idea on time frame? Weeks? Months? If its going to be 3+ months I'll look into alternatives

We are not sure if and when this is supported, so you better look for an alternative.

Note: The font activation plug-ins are especially useful for people who have specific projects that all require different fonts to be automatically installed/uninstalled. However even without the plug-ins, fonts installed through MainType will be available in your Adobe software.
