After backup there were no new fonts added to system. My fonts backup nearly 2.5 GB in size. Windows 10 home x64 - 1709. I make this procedure several times - but without any success.

A backup is just making a copy of your existing font library data. It won’t add new fonts.

To add fonts use the font folders dialog.

Before reinstalling system I have a lot of fonts installed in Windows. My font library is on another hard drive already. So what is the purpose of backing up? What is the destination of this restoring backup? To what location it restoring then?

The restore feature will restore all your fonts, tag, ratings, etc.

It will not automatically reinstall specific fonts. If you want to reinstall them, you could tag all your installed fonts, for example give them the tag "Installed".

Then when you restore, you can select all fonts which are tagged "Installed" and then install them.

I would expect them to be in the Font Library.

Look, after i install MainType i put the path to my font library on another hard drive - it loads all fonts at show me my library. Then i make restore procedure. What this restore procedure actually doing/transferring? To what physical location they are "restored" ? Tags and ratings - ok, let it be restored inside the programm database or similar way, but fonts themselves? In system folder "FONTS" they are not installing - so to what destination they are restoring/coming?

In the Vault. That is the place where MainType stores all indexed fonts.
