"The font service is not running!"
Anybody know what that means?

It means that you turned it off
Run it from the Windows Applications on the Start Menu to turn it on again.
To backup your font database, turn it off, then remember to turn it on again.

If the above help doesn't work, then let us know. We will then send you a link to the upcoming MainType 8 which will be released within a couple of weeks. It has numerous stability improvements which will most likely solve the problem. Customers who have bought MainType 7 after November 15 2017 will get a free upgrade.
