Display all fonts of a single character

Post by maculata33 »

When looking for a similar font, I have occasionally needed to look at the "y" character of many fonts to find one that look closest to what I want. MainType has made the task much faster; however, as far as I can tell, I still have to look thru all the fonts by hand.

Is there a way to display just the "y" (or whatever char) from all the selected fonts on one page? Ideally, once you spot the one of interest, clicking on the character would select the corresponding font.

Thanks

Type a "y" in the Font Name field, and display the Font Name Column. That's the only way as far as I know.

If you need a list of the fonts on your machine supporting a certain character, please check viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7891.
