IBM Classification

Post by Pyanepsion »

MainType does not know the IBM classification unlike FontCreator. However, this is an important selection criterion.
MainType indicates a pseudo-classification that is not really useful.

Example for Times New Roman.

Main type classification:
Serif.

IBM classification (followed by FontCreator):
Class: Oldstyle Serifs
Subclass: Dutch Modern

How can you still easily obtain this IBM information without spending days on it?
Thank for your explanations.

It is currently not possible with MainType, but if more people like this enhancement, we will consider adding it.
