Font Printing Problem

Post by JasonSWrench »

Hello!

So, I was really excited to print a list of all of my fonts, and then I got error message:

I honestly have no idea what is going on. I saw someone else's post was similar, but it had an actual font name. I don't know what any of these files actually are. Please help!

Thanks,

Jason

This issue is related to the printer driver you are using. Do see if they have an update or use an alternative driver.

Hello to this forum community!

I have exactly the same problem. Please find below the .log content, very similar to the one posted by JasonSWrencg.

To the address of Erwin Denissen: it is NOT a driver problem. I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC in its latest release (2021.005.20048), as I have a subscription to Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. and Acrobat Pro).

I have already sent you in the past similar bug, which remains.

One last thing: hard printing is OK (I have an HP 5000 Series printer), but... expensive and useless in my case!!!

Kind regards,
Pascal Garin

Now, here is the log file content:

Maybe one of the fonts is corrupt, but I still think it is a driver issue, as it should not produce such error.

You might be able to track it down to a single font, by divide and conquer the list.

I think that the wrong font names are the problem: no font is really called TMP268R100000001.
If the original font name would be used, then Distiller would be able to find and assign the fonts, because they are installed in the operating system and activated under Maintype under their original name.
The question is, why Maintype does not keep the original font names during printing, but mutilates them and replaces them with some temporary names.

The font name has nothing to do with the printing problem.
