Hide Unused fonts or Folders

Post by bacollin801 »

Is there a way to hide a font that I don't use or to create a folder to put them in? For example, Bahnshrift or Arial, there are lots of different fonts that I do not want to use and can not uninstall them. But if I could hide them or put them in in a file, I would not have to scroll through so many. Does this option exist? Thank you

Just uninstall them. MainType keeps them in its font vault so you can easily reinstall them if you need to. The System Fonts should not be uninstalled.

Make a backup of your fonts using fmsconfig and keep it in a safe place. If size matter, e.g. on DropBox, compress the backup folder first using 7-Zip — it will be much smaller (298 Mbytes instead of 1 Gbyte for my small font library).

Also Export your Font Data to backup your Ratings and Tags.
