font groups activating

Post by jihak »

Hello,
I’ve just tried MainType and my first impression is realy nice. I’ve only got a "problem" with managing fonts in groups and sub-groups. I’d like to have "tree-like" structure of groups - so when I activate parent group, all child groups are activated too (and vice versa) - that means all fonts included in child groups belongs to the parent group too. Is there any way how to add this functionality?

thank You and Best regards

Hi Jiri,

Good question.

You can use the browse tab to view the fonts located in your Groups folders. To retrieve the path, select Options from the View menu and then look at the Groups folder.
E.g. browse to C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\My Documents\My Font Groups

Now you can choose to include sub folders. All fonts should become visible in the font list. Now select all fonts (CTRL-A) and either install or load them.

Tip: To speed up access to this folder in the future, add the folder to your favorites.
