In MainType 220.127.116.115, 64-bit:
In the font list, the "Cut" menu item is only enabled when the list is displaying a group...searches, views, etc., leave the "Cut" menu item greyed out. I can understand that it could be difficult to "cut" because a font might be in multiple locations, but otherwise it should not be an issue. So, the "Cut" should be enabled if none of the selected fonts have multiple files. If that were the only problem, though, this would just be a design decision.
The problem comes with the fact that if fonts have been "Cut" from anywhere, the "Paste" menu item is active within any group, even when it makes no sense. For example, you can "Cut" from a virtual group folder and then "Paste" to a sync group folder. When you do this, the font is not copied into the sync folder (i.e., the directory on the disk), but it is removed from the virtual group. You can also do the reverse, where you "Cut" from a sync folder and paste to a virtual group folder. In that case, the file is not removed from the disk, and is placed into the virtual group.
Although this behavior is the "right" thing in the sense that files aren't vaporized from disk accidentally, it's still confusing. When items are "Cut", the "Paste" option should not be available unless the same type of group from which they were cut is selected.
