Font Export [CLOSED]

Post by Holger »

Hi,
Dont know if this is a bug.
If I select (in my case) 15 fonts and want them to be exported to a empty folder,
then there will be 1 selected font stored, the others not.
Is it reproduceable for other Installations?
Was it asked before? I could not find anything through "search".

Regards

Hi,
I'm with version 9.0.0.1207 (64bit) on Win10 Pro(64) with german language desktop.
There are no updates for my installation.
Hope this will help.

Holger

I really don't remember all features in that old version, and when we fixed or improved export related options. The current version comes with many bug fixes and improvements, so it might be best to upgrade.

Oops, was focused on FontCreator...

I will do some tests, but so far we haven’t heard of this issue.

I've just successfully exported 23 fonts, so please provide steps that allow us to reproduce the problem.

Hi all,
Will do that with some more information and the steps that I followed to export those fonts.
Currently I'm not in the office but later today I can do that for you.

Thanks,
Holger

So, I was running some test now. Selecting "not installed fonts" to export is running, everything ok here.
Selecting one (1) of the fonts (out of the 15) I had mentioned in my first post is also running, everything ok here.
Selecting one after the other (15 times) exports all of the wanted fonts.
Selecting all of the (15) fonts (for one export of all 15) is not ok (as posted in first post).
The fonts are not restricted, as far as I can see. I try to attach one of those font.
Maybe there is something magic with them (maybe cause its MS?) ?

[removed font file]

Nice to have you here,

Bleibt gesund!

I can confirm the issue. Bahnschrift is a variable font, which no doubt is the reason that only one is exported.

Bhikkhu Pesala is right.

As explained in the user manual:
https://www.high-logic.com/maintype/man ... types.html

OpenType Font Variations (also known as Variable Font)

In 2016 support for font variations was added to the OpenType specification. It allows multiple font faces within a font family in a single font resource, thus for example thin, regular, bold, and heavy along with condensed and expanded can be included in a single font file, and additionally, it allows for continuous variation along the included design axes.
