This is my review of Scanahand 1.0.

It is not linked to from the rest of my reviews yet. I welcome some feedback, if there are any typos or bloopers.

What an excellent exposition. And how I agree. I did not find anything which needs changing.

Joe.

Yep!

I finally got around to updating my Scanhand Review page for version 3.1 on my new site. I hadn't realised that I updated it on my NTL page, but not on my www.softerviews.org site.

I welcome comments from users who use Scanhand more than I do. Since I have FontCreator, I tend to use that more.

I updated my Review Page for Scanahand 7.0.

The new automatic kerning feature makes it easy to produce a good quality font in record time.
  • Fill in the template using a pen or a stylus in a graphics application
  • Load the template
  • Generate the font
  • Adjust the font metrics optically
  • Add kerning pairs
I reckon a skilled cartoonist could soon get the process down to five or ten minutes.

Nice, especially how you show a preview of the generated font, with or without kerning.
