Scanner not recognized

I just purchased Scanahand because it seemed like real good idea. Anyway, I printed out the template and filled it in, but when I go to scn it I get the following error message:


"No scanner available. Please check if the scanner is turned on, connected, and properly installed. Also make sure no other application is using the scanner."

Yes I do have a scanner and it is plugged in, I even scanned into Microsoft word just to make sure.

I have an HP Officejet G85, is it not supported? Help! If I can't scan the software is useless.

I don't know why Scanahand can't connect to your scanner. But no worries, just scan the template with the software that came with the scanner, or use any other application that does recognize the scanner. Store (save to file) the scanned image and load it into Scanahand for further processing. Do let us know your results.
