Right now all generated fonts are regular fonts, but it might be nice to allow the user to specify the font style.

Most script fonts are regular, even if they have a steep italic angle.

If you offer an italic option, then what about bold and bold italic?

I would say to leave the whole bold/italic thing out, IMO, and use that as a selling feature for users to add the FCP to their stable of programs. TO me, this program is, at this point, a simple way to make personalized handwriting/ personal fonts.

I think the analogy would be ScanFont by FontLab, which doesn't even generate fonts on its own, but simply turns the scanned data into a form that FL's programs can recognize. That's a $100 tool which does nothing on its own. This one at least generates usable fonts.

I'd vote yes but then again I'm planning to only use Scanahand if at all possible....

We've added this request to the to-do list. If we decide to add this feature, do expect to see it in the Premium Edition only.

would be a decent reason to upgrade :)
