I have created a font, named it, and mapped everything. It is a very simple font, with no composite glyphs. It installs fine in Windows 98, is seen by the registry and can be viewed by double-clicking on the file. However, none of my applications list the new font as an option. I have tested pre-made fonts from the internet, and all of them are recognized by my applications once they are installed. Does anyone know what I'm doing incorrectly?
Thank-you,
Sioned
Font not seen by applications
Font not showing up in applications
I use Windows ME.
I have found that the situation, which you describe, arises when I have deleted a redundant version of a font in the Windows Fonts folder in order to install, from FCP3, a newer version of the same font. It does not show up as a choice in Windows applications nor does it show up in the Windows Fonts folder until I Restart the computer.
