I moved the Preview window ( F8 ) off my screen (oops) so that the top blue bar with minimize/maximize/shut down is way above the limits of my whole screen.
And now I can't grab it to pull it back down, or to reposition/adjust the window.

Help please?

How did you manage to move it outside the visible area? The Preview toolbar only contains a close button. To reset it to the default position, you'll either have to uninstall and reinstall FontCreator, or edit the registry.

Try this if you meant the Test dialog (F5):
1. Hold down Alt + Spacebar
2. Press the M key
3. Use the arrow keys to relocate the window
4. Press the Enter key when you have the Window in the desired location.

There might be a quicker way, but uninstall and reinstall FontCreator should fix it.

Er... no idea how I did it, probably in a very clumsy attempt to move that part of Font Creator to my second monitor?

Which key can I edit in the registry?
(Assuming that's less of a hassle than reinstalling everything and looking up my reg code - )

(It's not the Test one -> View - Toolbars - Preview F8..)

Disclaimer: Use the information below at your own risk, only continue if you know what you're doing.

First close FontCreator.

Then go to this key name:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\High-Logic\FontCreator\5.5\Position\Toolbars\tbPreview

Set both FloatLeft and FloatTop to -1.

Start FontCreator.

Fixed with regedit :) Thanks!

(Floatleft was (roughly) -1000, float top was -200)
