I just downloaded the trial version of the program and am trying to make a font. Using contours I turned a symbol that I have into a font, but its too jaggedy. heres a pic

now i used the right click method to make my lines curve smoothly, but it just doesn't produce a smooth enough curve. It it because im using the trial version that it doesnt have all features enabled or am i doing something wrong?

The trial version should be a fully functional duplicate of the "light" version of FCP. The only thing you don't have is some of the more advanced automatic tools and maybe import image. As is, you have everything you need to make a beautiful face. My question for you deals with the number of control points you have along your curve. The fewer control points (double click and you will see them on and around your curve) your curve has, the smoother it will be as a general rule.

Without being able to see the control points on your glyph that's all I can say. If you would post that picture with the control points showing, we probably can help you quite a bit more.

The Font Creator Program is fully functional for 30 days. During this period all features are enabled, including all advanced features. This might change in the near future.

Oops, sorry Erwin. It's been too long since I was on the trial.

I'd hope that it wouldn't. I'm rapidly getting hooked as it is. I'm also developing a bit more respect for your professional type designer now that I'm learning to do this myself with this gadget of yours...

Yours,
