Hello,
I have letter spacing inconsistency problems.
The W is obiously wider than the I so when I test my font and write out "WIDTH" the result is that the I overlap the W and then there's extra spacing to the D.
What is the common solution to this? Can I put them in some boundry boxes or what?
How can I fix the spacing inconsistency?

You need to adjust the left and right side-bearings.
The easiest way is by dragging with the mouse. Tools, Autometrics can be used to do it automatically, but there will still be some manual work to do since not all letters need the same spacing on both sides.
Getting the character spacing right is one of the most difficult parts of good font design. Don't even start to use Kerning, until the spacing is as good as you can get it.
FontCreator 7 Professional has a new feature called Optical Metrics, which will examine the shape of individuals letters, and calculate what the side-bearings should be.

Thanx. I'll read up on those tools.
