Both versions use font project files with the extension *.fcp, and export TrueType *.ttf or OpenType *.otf fonts.

Just open the FontCreator 8.0 project file in FontCreator 9.0 (or 9.1 which is the latest version). However, due to changes and improvements in the file format, FontCreator 8.0 won't open project files from FontCreator 9.0, so don't overwrite the original. Copy your FontCreator Project files to a new folder, and open the copies.

If you have bought FontCreator 9.0, you're entitled to a free upgrade to version 9.1
