Unable to kern Greek letters

I'm trying to kern pi to letters and numbers, but in the OTD I am unable to kern Greek letters though it shows in the top window, it does not show in the bottom window. When I click on the pi symbol in the bottom window, it does not register anything.

As you can see, in the pic, the top window shows the kerning but the bottom window does not. The same is true for Sigma. When I call the symbol Sigma with the unicode, it does not register. When I name it Summation, it does. This leads me to believe that there is something askew about Greek letters.
Erwin, I have emailed you the project file.

Thanks and Blessings,

Jonne

This is indeed an issue which needs to be addressed.

However, we have a dilemma here as the fix will now treat the combination π2 as Greek script, while you use it in your Latin script. You can overcome this by forcing to use the Latin script instead of Auto.

The fix will become available soon.

I think a fix is needed too. I don't know how to go about it, I trust you will figure it out.

Erwin,

I hate to say it but the update seems to have broken something. As per the pic, you notice that "2A"does not kern in the bottom window.

I don't know what's going on.

Thanks ahead of time,

The screenshot doesn't reveal which script you have selected.

Just to clarify, I'm not using "Custom" as it shows in the pic, I'm using Default. Neither worked anyway.

The digit "2" is either in a run of text for Latin or for Greek, not both ;-)

Do try this text:
π2A A2π

Also test it in Firefox, and you'll see if has the same result. You're mixing text in a way which is not normal, so better avoid such text, or at least use a space between Latin and Greek text.

I've tried. It doesn't seem to recognize any letter or number placed before a Greek letter. I need to be able to kern letters to Greek letters. Also, the script changes to Auto everytime I close and open the OTD. Very inconvenient. The Greek letters kern when it is the first letter in a pair, just not as the second in a pair.

So I humbly request that this be fixed in the next release. I cannot abide not being able to kern regular letters with Greek letters.

Blessings,

Jonne

It now seems that the update has broken more than just normal latin text to Greek. "2B" does not register in the kerning window now.

Thank you.
