How to display the "Complete Category" in a large category?

Post by freemangl » Thu Dec 28, 2017 10:19 am

Hi there,

How to display the "Complete Category" in a large category?

I need to copy & paste a small font to a big font.

My Complete Category option is gray in a large category... but in a small category it's clickable:

You may have reached the limit of how many glyphs can be inserted (65535). Try using the Insert Character dialogue and add the range in smaller sections.

Thanks! it worked.

I need to merge the Incomplete font Characters to the completed one and uses the Incomplete Characters first.

But when I try to copy & paste, the result is opposite:

fc22.png
fc22.png (45.09 KiB) Viewed 579 times
The result:

See if Paste Special can do what you want. You can paste code-points, glyph names, and metrics, leaving any existing glyph outlines.

Copy and paste will work on glyph index order, not based on the order you see.

Thanks! almost done.
But what need is the incomplete glyph outlines to overwirte the existing complete glyph (as you can see from above pics) and fill the blank with existing complete glyph.

Try sorting the glyphs by Unicode code-points order from the Tools menu before trying to copy/paste.
