Printing problems with altered font (looks ok on scren)

Post by manmohan »

Hello all,

I have a ttf font (windows 10) and have done the following:

Opened fontcreator
Opened installed font
Make changes to a glyph
install the font from the font menu.

Then I am using the font in Pageplus X9. When i type the character in an artistic text box it shows the changes i have made however if I add a drop shadow or outer glow to the font the shadow or glow has the shape of the glyph as it was previous to being changed by me.

Also when the document is printed the glyph printed is the original and does not reflect the changes i made.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

marc

Was PagePlus already running when you installed the new version of the font? Did you reboot your PC before you installed it?

Hi Alfred,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, the other program was running and no I did not re-boot before installing.

However i have re-booted since then and the result is the same. Also when i tried the font in MS word just now, it still shows the old characters even on screen.

thanks

I don’t think we can solve the mystery unless you’re able to share the font.
