The glyphs/figures that presented problems were: " ' 0

quotedbl, quotesingle (for possession) didn't appear, while zero overlaps with other numbers and figures.

dog s should be dog's
said, the should be said, "the

This does not look like a bug in FontCreator; just some bugs in your font with incorrect side-bearings. If you can share the font project we can take a look.

Here is my font project. I tried changing the design but nothing changed. When I tested the font within FontCreator the " and ' worked just fine, however the key for 0 would do nothing. " ' and 0 still dont work while testing in a word document.

All help is appreciated

The zero has a left side bearing of -1052, hence the overlapping problems.

Use the Glyph Properties dialogue (F4) to set the left side-bearing to 91, and set the left side-bearing point to zero.

You have not yet designed any glyphs for quotation marks. Word will automatically replace quotedbl to quotedblleft before a word and quotedblright after a word; and quotesingle to quoteleft and quoteright as appropriate.

Copy/paste quotesingle to quoteright, and to quoteleft. Open quoteleft in the glyph edit window, select the contour, and rotate it twice to the right or left.

Exit the glyph edit window, select both quotedblleft and quotedblright, right-click, and complete composites. If you have the Home Edition you may have to do some more copy paste operations.
