How do you import an image from Inkscape

I couldn't find this elsewhere in the forums. Apologies if it has been answered before.
I followed your instructions for loading an SVG image from inkscape and neither importing from file nor copy/paste work for me. The original and the results are below. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

Please archive the SVG image with
7-Zip or similar and attach it to the forum.

I get the same result as you with your file.
However, if I import it into Serif PagePlus, and export it as SVG, it then imports as expected into FontCreator. (See attached)
It will take someone more familiar with SVG files to tell you what is wrong with the Inkscape version.

I tried that (funnily enough I had pageplus open) and I got this:

Thank you for reporting this issue and providing a sample SVG document. We've located the issue and we've fixed it. We try to make it available later this week.

It looks like your Pixels per em import setting is too high like illustrated here:

Better set it to values that match the SVG document:
Set the units in "px" in Inkscape, select the largest object, and then use the X, Y, and H values. Alternatively set the display units in the document to "px" to see what numbers work best.
