Changing a bold TTF to a non-bold TTF

Post by nikonman »

Is there an easy way to change a bold TTF to non-bold? I have an installed Microsoft product that includes the Andy TTF; however, it is only the bold version (andyb.ttf) and the obvious solutions to unbold it do not work. Can Font Creator 5 solve this problem?

Thanks,
nikonman

Without seeing the font, I wouldn't be able to say how well it will work.

The glyph transform feature will make a lighter version of a regular font, but bold fonts usually have thick and thin strokes. In this case the thin strokes might disappear or cross over before the thick strokes were thin enough.
