The checkbox "OEM Character Set"

When should / would I set the checkbox on Font => Properties => Ranges => Code Page Character Ranges => Exit =>

[X] OEM Character Set

I've run into a dead end looking for more info on this field. Many fonts do seem to have this turned on ...

Just use the Calculate button and let FontCreator decide whether it is enabled or not.
