Private Use Characters - as viewed in Microsoft Excel

Post by Fonts »

I have created some Private Use Characters.
When viewed on the Microsoft Excel formula bar, it's as shown in the attached image.
I don't know whether this relates to FontCreator or the computer itself. The characters are an Asian font, maybe because the computer is from there.
Is there a way to change the default in the formula bar. I know in my previous computer the Private Use Characters were a square/rectangle shape, which was easier to process.

I'm sorry, but I have no clue of what you intend to do, or what you feel goes wrong. Maybe you can explain it some more, or maybe someone else is able to help.

Perhaps if you open Excel, insert a Private Use Character and see what it looks like in the formula bar.
The formula bar is shown in attached image.

As a guess, it may look like a square/rectangle character.

My question relates to how I can change this default font.

I guess it uses the system default font. That can only be changed globally.
